Good month half-midnight city,
You may have noticed a lack of blogposts here as we have been working on 84 Expander, our new answer to our old Originals page which we didn’t have much control over. Now, with the new platform for us to post to, we have moved all our originals over to 84 Expander. Only videos that has not been moved was the two livestream VODs, which are available also on our YouTube!
What has changed?
With 84 expander, we’ve done a lot of updates! You can find the changelogs for all that on Project Updates. It mainly consists of building a lot of features we’ve wanted for a long time on our old originals, such as decent search, integrating podcasts, individual channels for each one of us (maybe more in the future for other creators?)
Going forward
With this marks the sunset of the OG originals page, with the end of an era comes a bigger, brighter, hopefully less jank future where videos randomly break less, and we can push out more content as we’re not reliant on technology that was built on hopes, wishes, tape, and our tears.
You’re able to watch all our originals over on 84 Expander now, making the OG originals page kinda useless and redundant. So, starting today we’ll be directing visits to the originals page over to 84 Expander.
If you want to see just how different the og ‘original page’ (link) is compared to the ‘new one’ (link) then you can compare and see just how big this is for us. 84 expander also completely overhauls how we did podcasts, allowing everyone to listen in a much more convenient, easier to use, and much more fabulous methods.
If you notice anything awry, such as missing captions, or broken playback let us know on our forums, and we hope to see you guys soon.
A lot of these changes come from us not really wanting jank and wanting usability, and friendliness. We upgraded our networking, we did find our upload button, and 100% overhauled our forums!. We even built a tool for us to use and shared it with you to use, LetMeTalk! We love what we do and can’t wait to continue.
