We’re beginning the phaseout of our old community interaction system on team84official.com, in preparation to move everyone to our forums. The reason we are starting the sunset of our legacy community features is at this point, they’re legacy, ugly, and hardly work. The upkeep of both systems at once is a drain of resources.
Profiles
We’re sunsetting the legacy profiles [example]. We’re migrating these to our Forums. If you log into the forums, your information should automatically migrate, unless you already have your forums profile setup and filled out. You can then modify/edit your existing profile. Here is a guide on profile customization in case you’re stuck.
Private Messaging
We’re moving all private messaging to be done via our Forums and unsetting the legacy direct-message options on our site. Our new private messaging system. For more help on this, refer to this article.
What is staying vs going from the main site
Although we are removing the extra parts, some core features on the main site will stay! To break it down simply everyone will still have accounts on the main site they are still able to get notified on things they were able to previously. Of course, with accounts still existing the settings will also stay where you can choose said notifications. Lastly you will be able to keep your friends so don’t worry about them vanishing!
The removed features will be extended profiles. Private messaging on the main site as the forums are more secure as well as smaller reasons.

For this transition of groups, we’ll be locking any existing ones and specific parts for this. If you have questions about this and your internal staff, reach out to one of the owners. Refer to the internal announcement for more information. You may need to be given access to the forums-group. Alert one of the owners if we don’t grant it to you right away.
Summary
Although we are removing some features they are only being removed as they’re easier to use, have more customization options, and are overall better on the forums. This will lead to less redundant sections of our website and lead hopefully lead to a better user experience. Your logins will not be affected.
